If you guys have been part of the Elements of FIT community for a while you know I’m not a big resolution gal. We set them, we get excited and then life happens. I often feel words are not enough when it comes to goal setting and we really have to visualize (over and over) what we want in life. The more crystal clear we are the better changes we are of creating our deepest desires. And nothing is as clear and focused as a picture.
That’s why I LOVE VISION BOARDS.
The idea of a vision board is to create a visual representation of what you want in life. Its purpose is to help you to “see” yourself in a state or situation that you desire. As a huge believer in the Law of Attraction, I love using vision boards as a creative way of articulating my hopes and dreams for the New Year.
So, how does it work?
Through the use of magazine images, photographs, drawings, quotations, affirmations, passages from books, stickers, newspaper articles, journal entries—the list is endless—you can bring to the fore your inner beliefs about what you would like your life to look like in 2013.
What you need to create a 2013 vision board:
- Poster board
- Glue stick (or other adhesive)
- Scissors
- Marker(s)
- An open and creative mind
Now that you have completed your 2013 vision board, hang it in a place where you can look at these images daily. Think of it as a reminder that keeping a positive attitude is key in helping you find everything you desire in 2013.
Happy Visioning!.
